Since 2021, I have been the graphic design manager, and only full-time graphic designer, at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF). SIFF is a yearround film organization and also hosts Seattle’s annual two week film festival across the city. I have had the honor of leading multiple design projects from start to finish, including a semi-rebrand of the organization.

In 2024, with the help of freelance desiger Jess Stehlin, I worked to refresh SIFF’s brand following the acquisition of Seattle’s Cinerama (now SIFF Cinema Downtown). The goal of this project was to wed all of the cinema venues together and make them identifiable as SIFF venues, while letting each shine. We created four icons to represent the venues and assigned them brand colors that would allow for immediate associations within any other marketing materials. We also compiled SIFF’s first official brand guidelines that included logos, fonts, colors, and illustrations that could be used across the organization. As sub-brand, I created the quirky, illustrative membership characters to highlight the diversity in SIFF membership and encourage others to joint he fun.

Every year in the spring, SIFF runs the Seattle International Film Festival for two weeks, highlighting some of the best films from around the work for Seattle filmgoing audiences. I had the honor of leading the design execution while working here. Before the festival starts, we meet with the design/advertising firm WONGDOODY to conceptualize the brand for that year. I advise on the direction and we ultimately recieve a poster, a trailer, and a brand kit to work with. I then manage a team of at most two other designers to execute all other assets necessary for the film festival including digital/social graphics, printed signage, printed and digital guides, festival merch, and slights on screen to name a few. I also designed SIFF’s first “Festival Passport,” a printed booklet where festival-goers could track what they see and complete challengers to submit for a prize.

Finally, SIFF also operates as a yearround cinema organization and nonprofit. Outside of festival time, I create all internal and external materials. In 2022 and 2025, I created the materials for our annual fundraising Marquee Gala and coordinated their print production. My consistant tasks include creating and updating the weekly preshow slides, prodicing and printing the monthly film guide, creating digital and social promotions, handling stationery needs, and brainstorming novel marketing ideas with the marketing team.
